The Delaware Charity Challenge is a unique fundraising and athletic competition designed to give organizations, families, and individuals a fun way to raise money and awareness for their favorite causes. Teams that enter may designate any charity they want as a beneficiary of funds they raise as a team. Part of the proceeds from the race registrations and the race sponsorships will go into a prize pool that will be distributed among the charities that raise the most money and to the charities of the teams that win the individual race events on the day of the Delaware Charity Challenge.

Delaware Charity Challenge: Fall Update

We are excited to announce the dates of the 2016 Delaware Charity Challenge events. As many of you know, the next event is the 1st Annual Winter Indoor Triathlon, which is scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Chase Center in Wilmington. The 2nd Annual Race to First 5K and Adventure Challenge Relay is Saturday, April 30, 2016. For both events, there will be an accompanying Race to Raise fundraising competition to help raise money for the different nonprofits selected by the teams.

Registration is open for both events, although the primary focus for the rest of the year will be on the Winter Indoor Triathlon. If you are planning to put a team in the Spring race but not participate in the Winter Indoor Triathlon, you can still register your team now and participate in the Winter Race to Raise fundraising competition if you would like. We can also help hide your team so that it turns on at start of the Spring Race to Raise. If you have any questions about the spring race or those details, please email info@challengeDE.com.

Winter Indoor Triathlon

January 9, 2016

The Winter Indoor Triathlon consists primarily of two competitions that both feature running 15 minutes on a treadmill, biking 15 minutes on a spin bike, and rowing 15 minutes on a rowing machine. The Medley Triathlon is a competitive race where teams of 3 will each complete one of the three events. The Run, Row, Bike Triathlon is a competitive race where individuals or teams of 3 will each complete all three events. Groups or organizations can field more than one team of 3 to compete. Each team will get their own team fundraising page. More information on the specifics of the competition can be found on the Delaware Charity Challenge website. At the same time as the triathlon will be the Pursuit of Health & Wellness Expo, a health fair.
